D&D 5E Character journals

I'm all for this. I used to write up journal entries for the Orpheus campaign I played in (I've been DM for every D&D game I've ever been involved with).
It actually helped our GM to figure out what we were focusing on as a party, what clues we hadn't noticed, that kind of thing.
Link here if you're interested, but be warned, the campaign didn't reach a conclusion and kind of cuts off :(

I hadn't thought about it for a while, but now I think I'll have to do this for the next campaign. (Victorian horror)

Yeah I find a few from our group take notes most sessions ooc.
I can imagine that title is appropriate to most circumstances. :)

The list of things we've dun messed up is still longer than the things we've resolved.

Nice, yeah it seems that it can help clarify certain aspects that may not come across during the session. It's easy to miss things or something somebody said overlooked if there is a fair amount of conversation.

I'll give them a read later on :)

One of my players writes an in-character journal entry after each game session. Reading those is one of the most fun parts of the game. A second player in the group occasionally adds an entry from his character which makes the journals even better as we get differing viewpoints on the adventure.
