Character modelling - Captain Sparrow

TogaMario

First Post
I was making a character based on Johnny Depp's "Captain Sparrow" and just wanted to know what you guys thought. I might use it later as a character for a pirate based DND conversion when i'm done with his whole model.

I was working on adding his facial hair and hair hanging from his hat, but I wanted to make sure I was headed in the right direction first.

Thanks!

I don't have any pictures of Depp to hand (Google will be your friend - photo reference isn't just for traditional artists), but I'm sure it'd help if you included a frontal image too.

Not all that helpful a response, sorry...

Well, he's also half a model, since I want each half identical, I edit one side, then duplicate it to the other side, sow him up the middle, then I'll post a frontal shot :) Thanks.

The face is thinner, the cheeks are more foreward not sideways. Just from memory.

What program are you using?

Maya 5 (I go to school for animation), and thanks for the crit! I'm looking into getting some reference pictures before I start back at it.
