He's not even surrounded by an anti-magic feild that doesn't effect his gear and spells! And where does he live? Guess he couldn't rent out space in a tower of high sorcery let alone own one. Didn't wish for the sunlight immunity either when we became a vampire - did we. Tsk Tsk Tsk.
I hope the first adventure is beating up Orcus to get his wand so you can have a REAL weapon.

It'd be REALLY silly to surround him with an anti-magic field, Kugar. What a ridiculous suggestion! Then his Advanced Tarrasquian Spell Reflection wouldn't work! Most of the spells that get through the SR120 get reflected back at their casters -- they don't even have to be cones or rays! An AM Field would really screw that up. *sigh*. Your characters must be pretty weak.
As far as the sun goes, I don't have to worry about that. My DM ruled that the sun's rays acted as an "attack", because they'd hurt me, and so they get reflected back at it. I could concentrate the reflected rays tight enough to make the sun blow up, but I don't want to do that yet because I think it's pretty.
I could go after Orcus first, I suppose. I need experience! Luckily, my DM is allowing me to level normally, even though I'm starting out a little better than most characters. So all I need is 1000xp to make Level 2. Would I get 1000xp if I killed Orcus?
