Chart of Critical Misses

Pappy

First Post
I'm currently running a 3.5 Campaign. The other day I was thinking; there are benefits for people when they hit criticals, but there should be a balance for when characters (monsters/enemies included) hit critical misses (a roll of 1). So my question to the fine fellas of the board is this: what kind of chart can I use to determine what happens when a character hits a critical miss. I think it would add a randomness to combat that'll keep the players on their toes. I mean...if you gain benefits for critical hits, you should incur some penalty or something if you hit a critical miss.

So, what do you guys think? Something random...
