Cheaty dice?

Start cheating back, openly.
[Edit]Sorry, slip of the mind, I was thinking as a DM again.[/Edit]

One of my players recently got a tensider that was so crooked it wouldn't lie flat on several numbers - makes you think of Lou Zocchi!

(And no, he doesn't roll it - just keeps track of temporary hit points (he's a battlerager fighter)

Wow Aboyd, that's just too much, but, why you dont kick their XXs out of the table?
When they go, everyone else will leave as well -- the other players have big hearts, and these guys are a package deal. That's fine. At some point I'll wrap up the game and walk away from it, but for now everyone seems quite happy to continue.

So, whatever works. These guys have fun with unlimited spells, auto-hits, and near-constant max damage. So I'll let them have fun, adjust my expectations of how the game works, and proceed. The game is slowly shifting to something more narrative. I'll drop some plot, they'll run through a few set-pieces that will go as planned no matter how much they cheat, then they'll level up and I'll continue with the story. They seem to like it very much, so I'll provide it.

You could mention the dice to the DM outside the group and get the DM to do a 'hey cool dice, can I have a look' and he can roll the d20 along with a regular d20 a few times for 'fun' and 'notice' if/that the 'cool dice' roll consistently high.

He genuinely tried to pass it off, thinking I was seriously that stupid.

I've caught him at it so many times and asked him to stop, and he never does.
Why would you keep playing with people who cheat to the point that it really bothers you?

I honestly don't understand why you'd put up with this (if it bothers you).

Yeah,

If you've asked him to stop it, and he won't stop it, ask him to leave. If that isn't an option for you because your friends or something, let him know that if he doesn't stop it you'll be rolling all his rolls for him.

God damn, this sounds like my nightmare game in every respect. Not only are the players crap, it's a railroad.

I'd kick the cheaters out. If the rest of the players walk in protest, oh well. Life's too short to play crappy rpgs.

No offense- I know it's a playstyle issue- but I wouldn't stay in a game like this from any angle. If you have a story to tell with predetermined outcomes, write a book.
