Would it be terribly offencive to anyone if I shared my character idea even if I do not end up playing? When there is reason to imagine them I like to share them...

It would be a nice treat to make a party that is actually discussed beforehand with the players. :3

What's on your mind, Kaodi?

I was/am considering a gunslinger, but then I saw that Spellslinger wizard archetype and went 'hmmm.'

No concrete plans yet though; just musing.

Still. Android spellslinger?

HMMMM

So, what I was thinking was a lawful evil Chelish infernal/enchanter arcanist, a lesser member of one of the great houses. He has ventured/been sent to Numeria to investigate the technological wonders there, in opposition to the Technic League. Because of the mysterious nature of the artifacts, they sent one of their fastest learners, so he has fast learner and improvisation, and the idea is to get technologist at level 3. While having relatively few scruples, he is a long way from home in unfamiliar territory, so finding and maintaining a group of trustworthy associates is a high priority (despite the evil alignment, I definitely want him to be a team player).

I actually have the rough up already done, on the assumption that it would be similar character creation to the Jade Regent game. The highest base stat is a 16, so even if it were lower it should not affect the important things, like skills and spells known.

male Chelish infernal enchanter arcanist 1, lawful evil
str 11 dex 12 con 14 int 18 wis 12 cha 11
traits Against The Technic League, Influence (Diplomacy)
feats Fast Learner, Improvisation
skills (8) Appraise, Diplomacy, K (Arcana), K (Engineering), K (Local), K (Religion), Perception, Spellcraft
spells in book 0-Level All, 1st-Level Ant Haul, Charm Person, Crafter's Fortune, Jury-Rig, Magic Missile, Memory Lapse

Kaodi's character makes me want to 'borrow' his shtick play an Investigator (hybrid Alchemist/Rogue) and be his mostly non-magical Watson to his Sherlock... or Sherlock to his Watson.

Being from Chelish, maybe I could play an elf with some Drow ancestry (granting darkvision/dazzled in bright light in place of low-light vision) who also has the Breadth of Experience feat (+2 knowledge/profession, can do all Know checks untrained).

Assuming two traits, I could take Dangerously Curious (UMD +1) and Mathematical Prodigy (+1 arcana/engineering) to represent my learned and adventurous background.

Or, also looking at the oracle/witch hybrid for some "tech is wrong, time to go deal with it" goodness.
