Chicago Gameday June 22nd - Aftermath Thread!

It's a shame we couldn't have had some folks from even further afield than we did, though PC came in from Boston, NoBeard down from Milwaukee and both d20Dwarf and GhettoGnome from Minnesota. I'm forgetting who it was but one of our crowd was also from Michigan and several from Indiana. It truly was a blast with very few glitches, I believe.

I should also mention that the Krispy Kremes from KidCharlemagne and the Chocolate Milk from Jack Haggerty went over very well with those of us who ignored our better judgement. ;) Thanks guys!

I'm hearing some positive and some negative feedback on October so we'll have to take a closer look at that and see what we can do. I look forward to gaming again with everyone who joined us and hope that we can expand it to include even more people in the future. So, for now, I think I'll be signing off to bask in the gaming goodness that was the Chicago Gameday 2 event and just add one final "thank you" to everyone who helped make it such a fun time! Adios for now then all! :)

Mark Plemmons can't get to the boards and asked me to post this for him.

==========

(Would have posted this a few days ago, but couldn't get on the messageboards until now. I haven't been ignoring it!)

:)

GameDay was great - thanks to Mark for organizing it, and thanks to everyone who showed up. (I won't try to name everyone in case I forget somebody.)

Running the Deadlands game was a lot of fun, and the players were all great - though I threw out the adventure ideas I had planned and just improvised as we went along. Kent's Call of Cthulu game was great too - I knew it was a bad idea to interrupt that ceremony, but oh nooo.... :D

Shameless plug follows ->

I hope everybody liked the KenzerCo prizes and the free HackMaster Gnome Titan mini! If you're interested in what we're doing, be sure to check out our product lines at your game store, or our website. Also, we'll be at Origins, Wizard World Chicago, San Diego, and GenCon this summer - so stop by the booth!

Can't wait for the next GameDay!

You snuck out before I had a chance to grab you at the end of the day... JoeGKushner didn't show up to grab the review copy I had earmarked for him, so I was going to give it to you. (Your sad face when the d20 swag roll didn't go your way was too much to handle.)

As it turns out your loss was Mark's gain-- but if you email me your address I will make sure you get an advance copy.

I am still checking with my guys to see who among us threw up the temporary cafepress site, when I find out where the T-shirts are, I will let you know!

Good for Mark! :)

Thanks for the offer, but I'll buy the book so Bad Axe Games will be rolling in the dough you'll make more great books! My FLGS will order anything, so at least one more store will be aware of your stuff (if they're not already).

But do let me know about the t-shirt. Can't wait to order one of those off cafepress, if possible!
