Chicago Gameday - The Aftermath!!!!

Trev - As I explained to Mark when he retired from running these Gamedays, fear is much better than respect. Stick with the "die screaming" threat. :)

Shadow_Chicago-Gamer - As a newbie, you'll be responsible for providing coffee and snacks for all attendees, rubbing my feet, polishing my dice, and driving my grandma on errands. :) There is a Four-bucks (er, I mean Starbucks) right up the street from Games Plus. Though it depends on the game, the morning games are usually wrapped up in plenty of time to make afternoon session, get a bite to eat, and do some shopping at Games Plus.

jalea - Got your description up - sounds like fun!

Thanks,
Matt

Gamesday Newbi Alert!!

I've never done the gamesday thing so I have a couple questions. 1. Should I bring a thermos of coffee or will there be coffee within diving distance. 2. Will the morning slot games be wrapped up in time to jump in on a afternoon game. 3. Will there be coffee close by

Shadow
If you aren't into Starbucks, there is also a Carabou (sp?) less than 2 blocks away.

hmmmmm..... Caribou.

My personal favorite there is the Turtle Mocha. It's coffee and dessert in one cup, what more could you ask for?

I'll try to stop there and get there box o' coffe to go for the gameday.

ejja_1 - Aww, you stole my surprise! I guess it's good you mentioned your plan to come in costume, because otherwise I would've been all over you like a vindictive teen girl who saw you in the same prom dress.

Dont be silly, ive never even met you and I know for a fact that the two of us would never be able to fit in the same prom dress!

But while we are on the subject, Thalmin any restrictions to wearing costumes at the shop?
Wouldnt want to make you or Jeff angry, being as youve both been exposed to dem gamma rays and stuff. Or was it the moo shoo pork that made you both green?

**Edited for spelling and stuff**

characters will be 6th level. players should email me thier characters before the game.
Make the characters using the point buy system. sorry no special effects or psionics.

Any questions please feel free to let me know.
jalea - I don't have d20 Modern, but can probably borrow the book from a friend. My only question is: 28 point point-buy or some other point-buy total? (If you're using the DMG point-buy system, that is.) If there's some other point-buy system in d20 Modern, I guess I'll find it when I look at the book. :)

Mattyhelms--please put me in jalea's d20 Modern Game in the morning, and Eridanis' "White Plume Mountain" game in the afternoon. Thanks!

Put me in the Whispering Woodwind game in the morning. I have played in Mark's games before and they rock and I have played in Trev's games and he does a fine job. This will be a combination of the two.

WW is also a PDF I bought months ago and never got around to reading. I always enjoy playing the adventure, then reading it and then running it, but how often does that happen?
