While I feel obligated to do so...having opened my (big fat) mouth about the idea...i won't! HA! ;)

Oh, no problem... I was just thinking that if someone else does want to try it out, running a second set of mini-adventures parrallel to mine, would allow the players to swap games (or GMs) mid-stream, should they want to.

As far as RPGA stuff goes... Suit yourselves, I'm easy.

I have to desire to join. I for one won't run or play in an RPGA game. Not because I've got anything against RPGA, I don't, but because, as Buzz said above, the gamedays are my rare occasion to sink my teeth into something non-D&D.

But if someone else wants to run it, that's fine by me.

Got any other suggestions that don't interest you in the slightest, Floyd?

Jenga?

Hop Scotch?

Mumbley-Peg?

Hehehe. Actually, I wouldn't mind seeing a RPG that had a task resolution system that used Jenga.

Hmmmmmmm.......

I'm pretty sure my M&M event could quite easily be scaled to a half-slot. I can pretty much concoct super-hero scenerios complete with variable conjectures in my sleep, so I should be able to fast-forward wherever proves necessary without robbing the players of too much story.

Therefore... ..I do believe I can run something else in the other half of the slot. Uhmm..... ...that would leave the question of what should I run? 'Cuz I really have no idea. I mean, I have all sorts of ideas riccocheting around in my head, of course, but narrowing it down to one is another story...

So, Offer Your Input, my fellow Game Day-ers. Given the glorious amount of time we have left, I can come up with something short for pretty much any system I can run, so I'ma just gonna toss out a list, an' y'all can say what you'd like to see. Note that I'm not a democracy; I'm just seeking input. If inspiration knocks, I won't hesitate to follow the muse.

Hercules & Xena (D6 Legends System -I can =totally= do this one in my sleep)
Buffy/Angel "Jossverse" (Eden Studios Unisystem)
Witchcraft/All Flesh Must Be Eaten (Eden Studios Unisystem)
Mutants & Masterminds (Green Ronin d20 -more superheroes, anyone? Teen Titans, Justice League, etc?)
BESM=Big Eyes Small Mouth (Guadians of Order Tri-Stat system -this would cover multiple anime genres in one gaming "scenario", mwahaha...)
Tales of WynD'mere (Shield of Faith Studios open-ended percentile -by Reidzilla)
Power Rangers (a demented homebrew by yours truly, stolen from Reidzilla, mwahahaa)

The BESM games I've run in the past are Tenchi Muyo & Sailor Moon, but I could very easily use the system to do Gundam-type giant mecha, a space opera, urban-violence/gunbunnies, color-coordinated spandex sentai... ..I'm just looking for input; if something gets spoken up for loudly enough, I'll probably go with it. Or if a random suggestion sparks an idea for a particular system, I'll run with that. It all depends on what the random chaos that is my brain decides to do with whatever input you lot provide. :]

ETA: Reidzilla, do you still have those Eden Studios books? Otherwise, I'm limited to Buffy/Angel, heh.

I would like to comment on the RPGA things. .. while there are large events such as March madness and such.. those are considered some what of a Convention and it takes money to rent the halls and such to support such a large crowd, but just so you know, they did not start out as a large event. They started out with a couple of tables and or slots.. and went from there.. by word of mouth that is how these things are done. There is no reason a table should not be able to be ran at any game day such as this one. Simply put it is one game it will not have a huge draw.. all I was thinking is it would have a little bit more of a draw then normal is all. I was not nor did I expect it to impact the game day in such a way to worry about table space or any such. Obvioulsy because this is not a convention and there is no overhead costs there is no charge like there would be for a good reason at March madness. The RPPA itself does not charge anyone for thier adventures or anything of that matter. I was not trying to suggest it SHOULD be done.. but a consideration for the future?

I did not mean to bring up a controversy or anything like that.. and I am sorry for doing so folks :)

I would just like to see this continue to succeed and I think the RPGA can help in this. Like someone mentioned Dungeon Magazines and any adventurte featured in there is good for points as well. So any game as long as it is sanctioned would be cool to play for them.

I have ran RPGA Living City (back when LC was still available that is) and Kalamar game days
where I invited some people to play at them in my home and ran two tables of adventures. It went well :)

This is just an FYI and in no way meant to offend ok :)
Thanks
jon

Ninjacat...

If it makes a difference, I'm planning on my two minigames being 'timed' events. The characters will have a goal that they need to accomplish in-game, before the 'critical failure' event occurs. That event will happen roughly two and a half hours after we begin play, so players will have to work quickly. Action in my minigames will be necessarily fast.
