Looks like we'll be having a three state Chicago Gameday, again. I wonder if we can make it four and entice a Visitor from the East... ;)

Okay...Assuming we are good for July 9th, these are going to be my two games. I have decided to change one of them. Don't worry Buzz, this will be my last change and my final set-up.

Oh, sure, change your mind about a game related thing...pssht. I'd never do such a thing. ;)

Ok, I'll leave this thread alone now since I won't be able to make it anyway...

Oooooh... Call of Cthulhu.... you tease... making us think that you weren't going to come :p

Yeah...and now I feel silly because I've realized that the game is actually Tuesday night instead of Monday, and thus most of the surrounding events are Sunday and Monday.

So far it looks like you'll all have to tolerate my presence ;).

Okay, I've updated the first post with the events that have been formally proposed so far. Keep 'em coming!

Edit: This is one of the best lineups I've seen yet, and we still have five more slots left to fill! Curse you all for running such cool games.

Well, I guess you will just have to look into that clone project investment again. :p

Hmmm... I do have a decent amount of time to prep for this event... It's been a while since I've looked through it, and it might be far too big of a module to even think of tackling in one gameday session... how many people have played the old Dark*Matter adventure "The Killing Jar?" Would anyone be interested in a game like that?

If I didn't wind up running that (might not, it seems rather long) would people be interested in a d20 Modern D*M game of some similarly-flavored variety?

Decisions decisions...

I also have a metric assload of old D&D adventures that I could adapt if a lot of people are looking for a D&D game. Could do some conversions of 1e or 2e stuff, both published and works of my own. Okay, just kidding, I wrote most of the 2e adventures when I was in 8th grade, so I don't think they'd turn out very well.

Alternatively if Barendd or another fine ENWorlder wanted to help me out (and the demand was high enough) there could be another two-table battle to the death tournament...? (could use D&D, could use d20 Modern?.....don't mind me I'm writing this in a stream-of-consciousness style.... ) Actually I may have a decent idea for one of these two-table things, and it would probably fit better in a d20 modern setting.)

ALRIGHT.

Rambling done for the time being. Is there any interest--among fellow GMs in helping to write/run, or players in playing-- in a two-table battle royale game (2 DMs, 2 groups of players, play separately, fight to the death at the end) like the game I ran a few gamedays ago?

That large coffee was a really bad idea, I'm rambling incoherently. Translations of this post are available upon request.

OK folks! Here is my entry for the afternoon slot.

Random Adventure Super Happy Fun Time!!!
Castles & Crusades by Troll Lord Games

“It’s a forest!” “No, it’s a dungeon!” “All right, it’s a forest dungeon!”
Come one, come all to the most craptacular event of the Gameday! Come play an adventure were even the GM does not know exactly what is happening next! This will be an improv driven adventure where the encounters and plot will revolve around several decks of event cards from which the GM and the players will draw. The GM will attempt to explain the plot as it unfurls, depending on the cards and the player’s actions. Each of the players will also have a secret hand of cards, with which they will be able to alter the plot as well. So, come on and watch the GM squirm as his plot is ripped to shreds by the luck of the draw!
Characters will be provided and rules will be taught. Just bring dice, munchies, and a good sense of adventure ... fair play... humor!
6 players, Afternoon slot, table by the door.
