Chicken Little and the Half-Orc base jumper

First Post
I am a Half-Orc, for reasons directly related to my 7 wisdom, I am currently 2000 ft in the air and falling. Presume that it will take 2 rounds for me to "land".

Below me is Chicken Little walking at a 30 speed. He is not looking up and is traveling in a fairly straight line, for reasons directly related to my 12 intelligence.

I have a balance and tumble checks around +18 and a jump check in the +50 range. I am primarily a Barbarian/Thief Acrobat.

I have prepared to take the 20d6. I would like to use Chicken Little as a runway.

What kind of lateral movement and targeting capability do I have? What kind of attack roll?

How about a cross-class skill "Skydiving (dex)".

Seriously...there's no comparable skill. Tumble doesn't cut it when you're talking about stabalizing your fall and using small hand/arm/leg/body motions to guide your fall.

Successful skill check against whatever DC your DM selects allows you to direct yourself to a target's square, and a successful attack roll later you've squashed chicken little.

To sum up, I'd just require a dex check (say DC 20) to guide your fall towards the target, with a successful attack roll (+4 for diving in a a huge speed, maybe a -4 for "human bomb" being a non-proficient weapon).

Like the dude before me said.
Dex check to stay on target. Maybe 1 per round.

As for too hit roll...? I'm not sure, maybe none but give the target a chance to dodge (Ref save or something)
Your BAB wont help you nor will your +5 spiked helmet. I would treat you more or less like a falling obj trap.

Okay.

So are there any existing spells that might allow greater control without reducing the vertical speed significantly?

Telekinesis? Can you Telekinesis yourself?

Can you freefall while under the effects of Fly? If not, what happens if you cast fly while freefalling? Do you automatically reduce to a 180 dive or do you lose d6s of damage gradually?

Truestrike?

Dude. I assume you are playing your game in what would best be called "medieval times"....there is no such thing as a Sky Diving skill.

Were I your DM I would have you roll a d20. You would fail on anything but a natural 20. A 5% chance of hitting Chicken Little is WAY better than your chances in RL.

EDIT: Forgot to add that Chicken Little should get a spot check. If he succeeds and sees you, you would also fail.

For the sake of argument, at 2,000 ft. up, you'll hit in the 8th round. You fall 150 ft. the first round, and 300 ft. each round after that.

I presume that fall rate is from the game not RL. Given that, does anyones opinion change if you are only 450 ft up.

As far as a spot check the Half-Orc is invisible.

Also, while I realize the chances are slim some things can only be proven to some people by virtue of glorious failure. The tragic nature of intellect vs. wisdom.

Sounds like the game falling rules (from 2000 ft, in a vacuum, 11.1 seconds to impact, but closer to 18-19 seconds in actual air where you hit terminal velocity).

IIRC from my parachuting days, you hit terminal velocity within the first 200 feet or so from exit (assuming you're not trying for max velocity), so I wouldn't adjust the mechanics at all unless you're below 200 ft (where the d6 per 10 foot is a simple enough mechanic).
