childlike rhyme

Stone Angel

First Post
I need some help developing this part of my adv. The party is traveling through a set of Mts. where they camp for the night at a journeymans haven( Kind of like a fantasy rest stop). Another party comes up and asks to share their fire. As the night goes on they find that the NPC party is on a quest to slay an evil witch known as The One Eyed Hag. An evil witch cursed to consume the flesh of living. A few omens go off(cackling, rustling wolves howling) then childlike voices begin to utter a scary little nursery rhyme. But for the life of me I cannot come up with anything. PLEASE HELP.

How this.

When the one eye comes all shall fail.

Those that see shall not see any more.

All those that live will lose things they didn't think that they will lose.

Hope is in the light of day, hope is in the light of day.

Ect.......

Does that help its an idea at least.

hey las that is great so as for now, that is what i am going to use. But don't let that dissuade anyone from posting their ideas as well.

Description of appearence and effect

Kids make up rhymes about things they see and hear, and the more concrete and evocative the better.

"Green lady, green lady,
feed the night dogs in the snow,
mean lady, mean lady,
mince the meat and sucks the marrow,
queen lady, queen lady,
plant your princes in a row,
seen lady, seen lady,
run, green lady, to your barrow!"

Ring around the rosie,
pocket full of posies,
ashes, ashes,we all fall down.

The plague is always scary and somewhat in line with your witches.
