Chivalry & Sorcery Sourcebook

This came from the open letter thread, but I thought I would ask here instead of clogging the thread.

There is an entire chapter in the Chivalry & Sorcery Sourcebook (circa 1980) on designing the monster mechanics from the flavor of the original source material. It lambasts D&D for making the Hydra a multiheaded dinosaur instead of the actual foe of Hercules as the starting point. It mocks the weird treatment of trolls, instead of the more impressive beasts that made Beowulf legend. It also spends time to make a "superior" version of the Umber Hulk and Giant Slug as examples of good D&D ideas that could be done better.
Does anyone know where I can get a decent copy of this? Once upon a time I remember a freind who had one, but I never got a chance to read it. He kept threatening to do something with it, but nothing happened.

I might know a few places that could track one down... Let me check at home.

It is an interesting book for philosophical perspective, as was the original game C&S itself. Not directly useful to D&D in general.

Try poking around here: locs.org or http://new.locs.org/forum/index.php

That site was very active some 4-6 years back when there was a 3.0 and 3.1 version of C&S released, but went into a coma. It looks like it has had a major facelift in the last 1-2 years since I last checked.

I believe I have it at home buried somewhere. I don't recall that chapter but it's been a long, long time since I've pulled any C&S stuff out. I'll try to look for it tonight.

Chivalry & Sorcery Sourcebook (1978) is the one I was thinking of.
That was also the one I remember and was speaking about. I also remember when they updated it back in the early 80s.
