The Alternate Fate, Hasten spells, Manipulate Spell, and Scry
Past feats are missing from my copy, and every copy my local game-store received as well. There seems to have been a major printing error. Please, could someone post the missing text?
Thanks,
Will aka Grayequus
Alternate Fate (Paradox)
You can undo any event that has just occurred.
Prerequisites: The ability to cast 4th level spells
Benefit: You may re-roll the last check you made. You must take the new result, even if it is worse than the original. Using this feat grants you a point of temporary paradox.
Hasten Spells (Paradox)
You can release spells at a fantastic rate, releasing them in a barrage your enemies have no defence against.
Prerequisite: Haste, mass haste
Benefit: You may cast more than one spell each round as a free action. Each spell cast as a free action grants you a number of points of temporary paradox equal to twice the number of spells already cast that round as a free action. The first spell cast as a free action costs no paradox. The second spell costs two points, the third spell costs four, etc.
Normal: A spellcaster can only release one spell each round as a free action.
Manipulate Spell (Paradox)
You can change the temporal qualities of your spells without the need to increase the level of the required spell slot.
Benefit: The chronomancer can use this feat whenever he uses one of the following metamagic feats; Delay Spell, Extend Spell, Persistent Spell, Quicken Spell or Repeat Spell.
Instead of increasing the level of the spell slot required for a spell when using these feats, the chronomancer may instead use the normal spell slot level and take on an amount of paradox determined by the feat. The paradox is equal to the normal spell slot penalty incurred by using the metamagic feat. For example, a Quickened Spell would produce 4 points of paradox and an extended spell would produce one point of paradox.
A wizard uses this feat when he prepares the spell. The paradox is fixed until he either casts the spell or abandons it, at which time the paradox becomes temporary. A sorcerer or bard uses this feat when they cast the spell. The paradox is temporary. The effective level of the spell cannot exceed the chronomancer’s casting level. A 7th level wizard, for example, could memorise a Delayed 4th level spell but not a Quickened 4th level spell.
Scry Past (Paradox)
You have learnt to send your divinations into the past as well as the present.
Prerequisites: Scrying or greater scrying
Benefit: When using a crystal ball, scry spell or similar, you may see into the past as well as the present. Follow all the normal rules for locating the creature you wish to observe but in addition, you must make a second check, using your ranks in the scry skill and your Wisdom modifier as a bonus against a difficulty determined by how far into the past you want to observe.
Approximate Period of Time Base DC
Up to ten minutes 5
Up to one hour 10
Up to one day 15
Up to one week 20
Up to one month 25
Up to one year 30
Up to ten years 35
More than a decade +5 per 10 year
If you have an object the creature was touching at the time you wish to scry him you receive a +2 modifier to the roll. If you use the spell in the place where the creature was at the time you are trying to scry it, you receive a +2 bonus to this roll. If you were yourself present at the time and place you wish to scry, you receive a +5 modifier. This second check receives a -5 penalty if you are trying to scry a plane with an unusual time quality or a -10 penalty if you are trying to scry a plane where time runs randomly relative to that in which you cast this spell.
You receive a point of temporary paradox for each target you successfully scry for ten minutes.
Only a creature with this feat can detect the scrying device projected into the past, and only if the Games Master knew at the time the creature was being observed.
Normal: You can only scry the present using the scrying spell. Creatures you observe using such a spell can detect the scrying device.
