Circle Boxing?

Sejs

First Post
So I'm working on coming up with stats for a couple of NPCs.. they're basically Bodyguard / Handmaidens for the Elven Queen. I'm gonna make 'em all female elven monks (as opposed to the King's personal guard which all tend to be male bladesingers). Looking through Quintessential Monk, at the Ghost Fist fighting style.. and it makes reference to the Circle Boxing feat, which Ghost Fist-style monks get at 6th level instead of Improved Trip.

I look through the book and find a few other refrences to Circle Boxing. But, lo and behold.. in the feats section? No Circle Boxing entry. Look at the index... no listing for Circle Boxing anywhere in the book.

I cannot find it.

Can anyone help me out here? What does Circle Boxing do, where can I find it, what are the pre-reqs, etc?

Thank you.

You know how a boxing "ring" is, in fact, square? And how a boxer who gets crowded into a corner of that square is at a tactical disadvantage?

'Circle Boxing' is the philosophical concept that a boxing ring is, in fact, circular, and we only perceive it as square because we insist on looking at it as a two-dimensional area instead of a three-dimensional space.

A creature with the Circle Boxing feat who makes a Full Attack Action with unarmed strikes may take a 5' step as normal before, during, or after his attacks, or he may instead take a 5' step vertically, effectively levitating, and gaining a +1 Higher Ground attack bonus.

He may remain above the ground as long as he threatens his opponent, but if he wishes to move further than 5 feet, he must once again be standing on solid ground.
