A missing person case you say? I see. Well Mr. Grumbo is it? I would be glad to lend my hand to find this person for your master.

Banion frowns again.

"And would you be doing that on your own, or as part of a group? I only ask because I've noticed you have a tendency to wander off on your own... even in the middle of fights. Hard to operate as a team when you can't find your teammate."

ooc: Hey, Xaov, have you decided what class Azaroth is going to level up in for 3rd level?

Excuse me?

*azaroth grits his teeth*

For your information Banion I was trying to take out that archer that was firing at us. Need I remind you that out of all the people we were fighting HE WAS THE ONLY ONE THAT HAD A CLEAR SHOT AT US!

When I got inside I tried finding the way around and ended up getting trapped!

I can't quite explain this change in attitude Banion but I can't say I like it!
ooc: Yeah sorcerer
you sticking with soulknife or are you going to try a second class?

"I understand that it can often seem wise to seperate, even in the midst of battle, but it hardly ever turns out well. I didn't want to create dissension during the mission, so I didn't mention it, but if we're going to join together for another mission I want to reach an understanding first. When we lost you in the keep, I knew we had to do everything we could in order to get you back. We couldn't risk a strategic retreat when one seemed wise because we knew your life was hanging in the balance, and that we had to find you. There were several points in that battle where I felt that seeking you out would be the death of all the rest of us. Very well, if I set off on a mission as a man's companion I owe him that... but before I accept that sort of duty again, I want you to know how important it is that we stick together and watch each others back. If you don't see it that way, we should probably go seperate ways. If you agree with me, we can agree that we'll try to stick together better, and it can be as water under the bridge between us."

"So what will it be?"

ooc: Banion will stay with soulknife, though if he ever hits 13th level, he's going to dabble in shadowdancer. :)

Very well Banion, if that is what is needed to conclude this argument, I agree. I will do my best to keep close to the group and not go off on my own unless absolutely neccessary.

I never did thank you and the others for rescuing me from that keep. I just wish I could have left that drow and the dwarf to meet their fate writhing in unholy agony before we left. Perhaps another day will come, when such pleasure will be mine again.

ooc: Patlin, Slag have you guys gotten reapproved yet?

Now that the disagreement is settled, Banion's anger fades away, and as he calms down he finds he has been speaking in public. His cheeks flush, and he mumbles something about being glad to help, how he's sorry he mentioned it, and that the whole thing was just scary is all. He busies himself fussing with his newly acquired shield so as to have somewhere else to look at the moment.

ooc: Yup, aproved and good to go at level 3. Psychic Strike should allow Banion to do more damage than the "shooting-spitballs" level he's had so far, at least every once in a while! His accuracy partially made up for it, but Banion's damage numbers so far have been a bit depressing. Most first level fighter have a damage bonus larger than the maximum damage I've been doing!

ooc: The assemblage of mighty heroes seems to be a Dwarven Ranger, a Halfling Soulknife, and 3 (count them!) mages. Anyone else interested in Someone's adventure that I missed? Someone, are you willing to take such an unblanced group... you can pick and choose if you would like, of course, but I think we've met the numbers requirement you had mentioned.

ooc: isn't this practically the same class make up we had leaving for the DoS originally.

ooc: Scary, isn't it? Especially when you consider that Soulknives and Rangers have some significant similarities... but at least Draig is a melee ranger, where Gur and I were both ranged specialists.

OOC: I ran a Barbarian, a Ranger, a Bard, 2 Mages, and a Psion through Festival. It was... interesting. Worked well enough though.

Grumbo said:
But don´t call me master
"Ah, well, where I come from master is a title to be used for any good man and so would fit you whether you be a student or teacher. Grumbo it is then."

Shortly before Banion and Azaroth's discussion, Beamer excuses himself to attend to nature's call. Upon returning, he asks Grumbo

OOC: Sorry, only explaination I could come up with for Beamer not interjecting in the conversation. Beamer is approved for level 3. He's finally worked out magic missle and so can now join the ranks of spitball shooters. With a melee ranger, we're already a bit more balanced. Three sorcerers though. Let's just hope we only fight one enemy at a time who we surprise and can take down with a coordinated magic missle barrage.
