Kyle Widebelly

"What bring me here you ask? I do my God's good work, I am charged with travelling this world to find the best of the best, to discover new flavours, foods, herbs and spices. To wet the palette with the finest liquids and drench the taste buds in the most delectable of delicasies. It is a hard life but one that I embrace with enthusiasm and zest. Now where is that damnable barkeep, I have a thirst and a hunger" As Kyle speaks he waves hello to the other patrons in the bar.

Finnegan Rose

"Now that's a philosophy I can get behind! Tell me more of this faith Widebelly." Finnegan leans forward intent on listening to the dwarf.

Starting to look a little frantic that he has neither food nor drink readily at hand the dwarf pats his belly and then strokes the skillet that hangs from his side "A convert perhaps, good, good, listen closely" Kyle launches into a long rambling speech regarding the virtues of his God, all the time scanning the bar area and tapping impatiently on the table top.

Deos stares at the dwarf open-mouthed. For the first time in a long time, he is stunned speechless.

Finally, he gathers his wits and mutters to his table companions, "I think that's the biggest, fattest dwarf I've ever seen. I simply have to speak with him." He motions to the dwarf, Finnegan, and Jeremiah. "Master dwarf! I'd be most interested in speaking with you. Please bring yourself and your companions over here and I'll see to fetching you some food."

At that, Deos heads up to the bar, and does his best to help the serving girls with Kyle's tremendous food order. As they bring plate after plate, Deos grins, "Now then, what is such an obviously pious servant of Geoth doing at the Red Dragon?"

Kyle Widebelly Dwarf Cleric of Geoth

Beaming at the invitation Kyle moves over to the offered chair, his movements as much a roll as a waddle "Thank you, thank you, may Geoth bless your every meal" he says as he sits and tucks into the meal, his hands moving in a blur from plate to mouth, his face beaming, almost radiant "It is when you are eating that you are closest to Geoth" the dwarf advises everyone at the table before digging in to the food once again. About 10 minutes later the dwarf stops his furious grazing, leans back, pats his stomach and lets rip with a thunderous burp "A sign of appreciation that" he rumbles "as well as being a thank you to Geoth for providing. Now what am I doing in this Inn you ask? Well does it not boast some of the finest food and wine in the city? Is the service of the staff not held up as a shining example of professionalism? Are the tales told betwixt these walls not some of the tallest told in EN World? And I came to hear the tales myself, to hear if perhaps there was a hint of truth in these tellings. I came because I have heard a story of an orc and a pie and I need to know if it is true, for I WANT THAT PIE!"

Outside the red dragon inn, possibly observed by any seated near a window, a shimmering magic field appears. It moves strangely, glistening and growing like an inflating soap bubble. It makes no sound. For a moment, it is clear enough to observe figures within it. The central figure is some sort of elf or possibly a fey, but some from Orussus might recognize Sir Ishmael of the Wooden Sword or the enigmatic sorceress Persephone. A second halfling, less familiar looking, stands close to Persephone as if wishing to protect her.

Without warning, the bubble pops, leaving no sign that it had ever been.

ooc: This post references events occurring in the adventure "The Faerie Woods."

"Anyone see anything interesting go on lately. I was considering buying a very old map, but decided against it. I do wonder if it would have led to great riches and meaning. Meh, we will never know some things, i guess."

OOC: Someone is no longer interested in running that adventure, darn, i was looking foreward to it.

Kyle fixes the monk with a hard stare "Interesting, ye ask. I did happen to have a strange and mysterious encounter not but two nights go." Kyle leans forward and continues in a stage whisper "I was paying homage to Geoth with my midnight custard when the very stuff I was consuming did seem to reform into a strange apparition. As I raised the silver spoon to my mouth, custard pooled enticingly upon its bowl, I did happen to notice that the remaing custrad had formed into a strange vista. A lone tower standing b'twixt two mountains, its walls glistening with water as though it was newly risen from the placid lake that was lapping at it's base". Suddenly the dwarf's eyes roll back in his head and he slumps forward onto the table "Khelek Tar de neck teb delak" he growls before springing back into his previous position. "Before I could blink the image had disappeared but ever since that day I have had nothing but bad dreams. I want to put a stop to these dreams, I want to stop it!" the pudgy dwarf repeats as he slams his tankard down on the table, his face looking flush and his eyes lowered in embarassment.

"Alas, if i was in my home town there were many skilled with matters of the mind. But i never was able to get the hang of those things. Otherwise i wouldnt be here would i? I hope you will find solace soon, and when some kind of adventure pops up i would love to be on it with you."

OOC: where can i find how to do colors and font sizes with my posts?

OOC for garlicnation:[sblock]When you hit the "New Message" button, you should see a Title: block and a Message: block. Right under the word Message: are pull-downs for (Arial, Times New Roman, etc.), (font size), and (font color). There are also radio buttons for Guided Mode and Enhanced Mode, I usually use the Enhanced Mode. Oh, and if you want neat spoiler blocks embedded in your messages like this one, just type *[*s*b*l*o*c*k*]The text you want inside the spoiler block[*/*s*b*l*o*c*k*], but without the asterisks, of course.[/sblock]
