The adventurers from his home town never told stories of their downtimes between their escapades, so he assumed their lives were nonstop excitement, but if he did not find something reputable to do soon he was in danger of becoming the town drunk.

unable to control his laughter- the half drunk Dwarf claps his cousin on the shoulderHA HA HA! Droogle my Cousin! It is good to see you, though it is bad tidings I bring. Your uncle- my father has been slain by an assassin's blade- though it is a tale for another day! Tell me of your fortunes!
ethandrul said:HAHAHA! The path I'm on? BAH! I can take care of myself- my ambition and wit will keep me safe- and eventually make me rich. It seems my father had a lust for women and gambling that ate into my meager inheritence- It is unfortunate to have older brothers. Hasin smiles as the barmaid brings another round.A pity that orcs and halfbreeds are allowed to eat with civilized folks in this town. But- I guess the Northlands are as unrefined as they are wild!
ethandrul said:A friend? In a way i suppose this is a token of my father- It seems that he knew the location of a fabulous treasure when he died- I intend to get him breathing again so i can learn its whereabouts So how about that woman you were to marry? the one with the buck teeth and a hairlip? whatever came of that? What was it your father called her? "A diamond in the rough- waiting to be worked into a fabulous jewel" . HAHAHA! I think she may have been the homeliest dwarf I have ever seen- the looked worse then most of the sweaty barbarians in here!
Bison said:Droggle's eyes perk up at the mention of treasure. "rumors of treasure are seldom true, and even then are usually exaggerated, not to mention getting the old man breathing again will probably cost you more than that so called treasure is worth ... but on the other hand, it does sound like it could be fun anyway"
He grins again as he thinks back to his fiance "now Tessia is another matter, you are right about her looks, but her family was fabulously wealthy. But still, we have put off the engagement ... indefinately. Perhaps a new marriage will be arranged for her while I am out adventuring."
ethandrul said:Fabulously wealthy eh? Perhaps I should write the beautiful Lass a poem...
