The man at the table politely nods as the adventurers join his table. He eyes the wolf wearliy, and slightly shifts away from at as it settles under the table.
"Greetings. My name is Dunbar. I am lord Graven's assistant and will be your contact for now. As i said, i will anser any questions you may have after you first answer some of mine. Fist of all i would like to know which skills and talents you bring to the table. Lord Graven is convinced that, in order for this mission to succeed, a well formed party should be formed. Mr. Ordno, a scolar and mag fits the profile. A man of healing is quite neccaseary as well. What can the others contibute?"

Eanos nods his head. "I'm a truthseeker," the man says. "In pursuit of such, I've honed my senses quite keenly. It is extremely difficult to catch me by surprise or fool me with a lie. My discipline gives me a greater than average speed, and the ability to use my hands as most men use a weapon."

Dunbar nods as each tells his tale. "So we have a mage, two men of healing, a tracker, a trapfinder and a warrior of some kind. Although Lord Graven send me to fetch him a band of four I think a bonus servant of the gods should not be a penalty to the group. You all indeed add usefullness to the group and i will accept the five of you to carry out the task at hand. I should tell you that you will have to split the comission between the five of you if you all wish to participate. I will tell you now what is required. Lord Graven is a known collector of artefacts. He has learned the whereabouts of a treasure he seeks for quite some time. You are to retrieve this item for him. The pay you will recieve for this is the sum of two thousand gold pieces, plus any treasure you might find along the way. Not counting the item Lord Graven seeks offcourse. I will supply you with a description of the general location of which Lord Graven believes the item is located and a description of the item. Do you five, as a group, accept this mission?"

Mordik raises an eyebrow.
Ya say the job is to get the item but then ya don't know for sure where it is or who has it. Let's say we come back and this "general location" is wrong - what then? Assumin' I don't walk away empty-handed in that case, I'm thinking it's alright...

Odno is astonished. It's no surprise that these people do what they do - that kind of payment is what an honest, skilled worker earns in years of hard work. Right now, what worries him is why the tavern isn't stuffed of people up to the ceiling with people looking for jobs.

"oh yes" he manages to say.

Rathan would look to those around him.... though only knowing the druid by name... and not even that by most of the others he scans each one quickly and nods....

"if these brave souls wish to have my healing aid with them in this venture.. I will surely accept.... is there anything else we should know before we get started?" the cleric would ask as he hoped the others did not think he was crashing the party... so to speak....

(OOC: I count six B4cchus--is that still acceptable to the patron? Odno, Aletheia, Quarion, Eanos, and Mordik, the original five, plus then Rathan makes six)

Nirrassa of Clan Swiftclaw

The katara observes the conversations going on in the inn curiously, ears twitching. She does not get out of her seat or says anything, however. It looks as though she is content people watching.

(OOC: Yeah, I guess the commission was meant to give 500 per character, but with 6 it is 333, a weakness of flat commissions. I feel bad for the 3rds and the 4ths with that kind of pay. If you want me to bow out to increase the pay of the higher-levels, I will--carrying around 3/6 of the party as first-level might be a bit too much of babysitting for them, and their pay is reduced for it.)

OOC: I'm the newcommer Rystil.... I don;t think it fair for you to miss out after I come in and steal the thunder..... that's not very couth persay... I'm willing to take a bow out and let the original 5 go and wait for another adventure.. I'm sure one will come out sometime soon.....
