Can anyone clarify the rules for the Brilliant Energy Weapon ability?

Strength Bonuses - yes or no?

Ignores Magical Armor Bonus's - yes or no?

Yes on both. It doesn't ignore natural armor though.

Strength bonus .... Yes. The description of Brilliant Energy ability does not say you cannot apply your str bonus. So you can.

Mage Armor and other Force armors .... The description says "A brilliant energy weapon ignores nonliving matter." And force is not matter. So I say force-based protections still work against it. So IMHO, Mage Armor, Bracers of Armor, Ring of Force Shielding, Shield spells and such will protect you. But frankly speaking, I am not truly sure about this.javascript:smilie('')
