Class feats for Ranger stack?????

Hi Everyone,
I know this is an easy question and I think I'm making it harder than it really is. Okay, 8th level Ranger has, obviously, two attacks if a full action is taken. Now, if he also has Rapid Shot and Manyshot, how many arrows can he loose if he takes the full action? Thanks for the help with a simple question.

Rapid shot and Manyshot cannot be used at the same time.

You can EITHER

a) Use a full round action plus rapid shot to fire 3 arrows (at +6/+6/+2)

-OR-

b) Use a standard action to fire 2 arrows with one attack roll (at +4 equivalence)

Two; or three, with a -2 penalty on all attacks using Rapid Shot.

If he's taking a Full Attack action, he can't use Manyshot. Manyshot uses its own standard action.
