Well, I started converting over to d20 CoC with my campaign's Investigators first. A couple of things I noticed:
1) You have to be a little flexible with the skills. If the PC has Spot Hidden, give him both Spot and Search as core class skills because they get nothing for Creidt Rating, and all their combat skills unless you are willing to give them the Weapon Proficiency Feat(s) for free.
2) I ended up giving the PCs a bonus to INT for having a high EDU(+1 INT per EDU point above 14) and did the same with SIZ-giving a bonus to CON at the same rate. It just didn't seem right for highly educated or large PCs to not get at least some benefit in the conversion.
3)I am going to be converting the Complete Masks of Nyarlathotep to d20. The only concern I have is the new conversion rules. I wonder if Chaosium agrees to the ones that WotC has posted. Morrus, any ideas?
Anyone else's thought and views would be appreciated...
