Cleric Books?

Looking for a new book-- just wondering which one is the best purchase. So, I'm wondering what y'all think about the following books:
(1.) Legend's and Lairs Path of Faith
(2.) MGP's Ultimate Divine Spellbook
(3.) Sword and Sorcery's Guide to Druids and Clerics

If you were choosing between those books-- which would you choose and why? Or, if you don't like any of them, which would you buy if you were playing a 12th level cleric?

Thanks!

Okay, of those three I'd choose Path of Faith. It is divine oriented with a newtral view. It also has Legendary Classes, these are prestige classes for 12+ level characters so that fits better with your levels.

Second of those would be the Players Guide but while it has good feats and prestige classes there are a lot of Scarrled Lands specific things. That's great if you are using the setting, but it can be difficult to use a lot of the book if the DM is not willing to import things from other setting.

Other books that are great for a cleric are Complete Divine and Quint Cleric 2.

Mongoose's Quint. Cleric and Quint. Cleric II are pretty good. Of the books you listed, Path of Faith is the best, followed by Ultimate Divine Spellbook (tons of cleric spells, but not much else). I also recently picked up The Pantheon and Pagan Faiths book by Mystic Eye, and I've been very impressed. Check out the reviews section of this site to get a complete rundown, but its a very impressive book for any game world, and not nearly so setting specific as the Scarred Lands book.

My list would probably be...

Complete Divine: Official material that updates a lot of older material to 3.5. Presented in a hardcover format in full color.

Path of Faith: Legendary PrCs along with some other options that come in useful for rounding out the campaign.

Guide to Clerics & Druids: Good examples of how faith and religion can effect the campaign setting itself and some interesting spells, PrCs and feats for characters to fiddle with.

Quintessential Cleric I & II: Interesting options but some of them troubled by balance. If I was playing 3.5 and didn't have either, I'd check out the second book first.

Ultimate Divine Spells: spells. 'nuff said.

Don't forget to pick up these very useful PDFs -

http://www.rpgnow.com/product_info.php?products_id=1994

Though you might want to pick up the whole bundle (see sig for Demo)... ;)
And while you're at it, get this PDF too:
http://www.rpgnow.com/product_info.php?products_id=2365
All the 3.5 cleric spells on index/rule cards.

Or the whole bundle:

All the 3.5 spells, not just the cleric spells.

Sorry, couldn't resist :)

Clarify your DM's policy on introducing spells before springing for the Complete Divine, since it is just a great big book of spells.

I'm playing an 11th level cleric/3rd level pious templar (updated from 10th level cleric) in a one-shot adventure sort of thing, and the books I most often look to are Complete Divine, Book of Exalted Deeds, and Good, from Alderac Entertainment Group. I don't however, own any of the books you mention above, so I'm not specifically condemning them.

Cheers
Nell.

*is biased toward PG: Clerics and Druids*

If you like a book that gives you insights in religion, faith, and also some great ways to use wild shaping, (along with more Totem feats), this book is for you.

Though I will agree, it's pretty SL specific.

I would negate CD. It's just too much stuff, too little editing and not enough thought unlike its counterpart, CW.

My suggestion is Book of Hallowed Might 1 and BoHM 2. They have some good ways to improve your cleric.

I basically only use the PHB when I play clerics. For Forgotten Realms characters I use the appropriate books. I also, for that setting, found Faiths &Avatars quite useful for "flavor text" on the various deities. More stuff than the 3ed Faiths & Pantheons book.

Then just add creativity and *BAM* one cleric character!

Never heard of those books that the original poster mentioned. I haven't bought any 3rd party books/supplements so I can't give opinion based on those.
