Cleric Plane Shift

If a cleric casts plane shift, can he knowingly shift to a plane that opposes his diety. For example, could a cleric of a CN god shift to a lawfully-aligned plane like Mechanus?

If he actually wanted to do so, it'd probably be for a mission, so why not? I don't think there's anything in the spell description that says that he can't.

The Planeshift spell doesn't have an alignment descriptor, so, yes, any cleric can cast it and go to any plane he wants.
