Cleric / Wizard multiclassing via feats

The Cleric / MU is a staple of D&D, but the PHB doesn't allow it - at least, not very well. I'm wondering if we could use the Feat system to cover it?

Something like:

Feat: Arcane Spellcasting
Prerequisite: Able to cast 2nd level divine spells
Benefit: You can learn and prepare arcane spells of one school like a wizard. You gain no class benefits nor additional spell slots. You gain no cantrips. You use Int as your spellcasting modifier. You may choose this feat multiple times; each time you must choose a new arcane school.

Similarly for the wizard:

Feat: Divine Spellcasting
Prerequisite: Able to cast 2nd level arcane spells
Benefit: You can learn and prepare divine spells of one domain like a divine spellcaster, as allowed by your patron deity. You gain no class benefits nor additional spell slots. You gain no cantrips. You use Wis as your spellcasting modifier. You may choose this feat multiple times; each time you must choose a new divine domain.

We might want to limit the spells to those of level 5 and lower so that the 'big guns' are the preserve of the prime class.

What do you think?

I think it's too strong. At least if a Wizard took the Magic Initiate Feat to learn Heal Wounds, he'd only be learning one spell. With this, the Wizard, who could do virtually any type of magic but healing, just outclassed the cleric. So hard, in fact, that you'd never see a cleric played in your games again. Anyone presented with this feat and seeking to optimize their caster, would just take the Divine spellcasting feat and shame the Cleric every step of the way. Because technically, a Wizard can cast Divine Spells using Wish, so even the stipulation of your feats not allowing them to learn beyond 5th level doesn't apply.

It should do something like "(Prerequisite, able to cast 2nd level Divine or Arcane Spells) You learn two spells of your choice, one of which is of 1st level and the other is of 2nd level. If you are a Wizard, you may now add them to your spellbook without spending the gold cost to write the spells in."

Not just too potent, but too ambiguous. I think I get the intention here, but I'm not sure how I'd implement what's written here. For example, the term "divine spellcaster" isn't a thing anymore. You'd need to specify that that you'd be using a holy symbol as a focus, wisdom as the spellcasting stat, and how many spells do you learn and prepare exactly? As a cleric of your level? Do you really intend this for the Sorcerer or Warlock, who'd be able to grab a 10 additional spells known (2/3 their total maximum number of spells) for one feat?

Furthermore, I'm not sure if a feat should really be as good as or better than one level multiclass (or the existing feat). A wizard who takes that one level of Cleric multiclass gets access to a bunch of great cleric spells. If you multiclass 10/10 you're able to case any wizard or cleric spell--up to 5th level. Yeah, you miss out on the highest level spells, but an old timey half-elf cleric/mage also was behind the curve or even a 3rd edition mystic theurge. As it stands, getting 4+ additional spells prepared is reason enough for a sorcerer or warlock to consider taking a level of cleric or wizard.
