Clerics!

interesting! I hope more people post.

Have you found that any particular gods are a blast to play clerics of?

Well I had fun as 6 Barb/6 cleric of Vangal with dual wielding battle-axes. Had Strength and War as my domains.

I would like to play a monk/cleric of Chardun so I can used Domination and War. Plus cast a few Chardun named spells. :)

But that's only evil

What I'd REALLY like to play is a Cleric of Idra (goddess of Courseans and sex), so I can romance both sides of the field. ;)

Who says you can't do that with any character? :)

Where can I get the write-up of Idra?

Well I actually on DID the Eight Victors in Word format for my PCs. But I am working on a short list for the Demi-gods. If you want more info and don't feel like waiting for me to get around to it, Xar, try the Divine and the Defeated. That has her basic write up.

No one but it's more fun that way. :) Besides I'd like to use Entrancement domain along with Secrets. Mainly to be a better spy than some others. :) But I wouldn't mind being a rogue/cleric of Drendari so I can get Shadow and Entrancement. Course I still think it's jipe that she doesn't have Trickery as well. She's a patron of ROGUES for goodness sake.

Considering how I really don't think I'll get a chance to run a good campaign in the Scarred Lands anytime soon, I don't think I'll make that purchase. :)

So, sure, gimmie writeup! Please. Mr. Super Great SL Master Guy. :)

Weird, I always played a character due to the character. The two clerics of palor or nice guys tryingot help people. If it was a streetwise kinda shadowy guy, he'd be a Rogue. I never would of picked a god due to it's powers :/ I just never thought of it that way.

Ahh, I always went characters->Theme->God

The diety always being an afterthought. I guess it would play a more pronounced role in more characters than I thought.

Generally yes, since in some worlds, the gods are pretty active through their clergy. Doesn't mean they come down off their respective clouds but they do interact a little, send out a few signs or something like that.

But I guess when do cleric, I go, God, character, theme.
