Click from Headline to forum thread

Totally probably user error, but when I look at the homepage, I see a headline such as, The New D&D Adventure Is - Tomb of Annihilation!
I click that and I head to http://www.enworld.org/forum/conten...venture-Is-Tomb-of-Annihilation!#.WTMNp2grKHs
But on that news article, I can't leave XP or laugh with a post.

What I want is to head to http://www.enworld.org/forum/showthread.php?554180-The-New-D-amp-D-Adventure-Is-Tomb-of-Annihilation!
Same place, but different. There I can leave the XP and laugh, but to get here I have to go to the forums and then the thread.

Am I doing this wrong? Should I be able to give XP to a News Headline or should I skip the headline and just go straight to the forums?

I agree with you on this. I hate the way the homepage is linked to the "news" article. I find it so unfriendly that I don't use it anymore and just skip straight to the sub-forums I like. I'm sure I miss stuff because of this, but the problems with the news thread you point out keep me from using them.

It's prepackaged software, I'm afraid. The vbulletin messageboard software doesn't include XP in the articles system. Sorry. I didn't design it. :)

If vbulletin ever updates the software to include that feature, I'll be sure to update it here. They only tend to do security updates for it these days though.

It's perfectly fine if you prefer to access it via the forum rather than the news page. Whichever method works for you. We provide both. Plus a mobile skin and a mobile app, plus Tapatalk support. Lots of options - use whichever suits you best! It's all good!

Options? No!!!! *jk*

Understand. I'm not a fan of custom software, so I get the need to accept the limitations of out of the box software.
