Cloak of Displacement vs Ring of Blinking

Hi,

A recent discussion came up regarding these 2 magic items. It seem that the Cloak is over priced compared to the Ring of Blinking (the part has 2 now - average party is 12th lvl) and that the Ring of Blinking is much more useful item. (not neccessary my opinion)
I was wondering what other people think.

Cheers

With the vest of resistance now available, I like the Minor cloak of Displacement best of the 2(3).

Minor Cloak of Displacement: Constant 20% miss chance for your opponents. 24k
Major Cloak of Displacement: 15 rds per day fo 50% miss chance for opponents. 50k
Ring of Blinking: On command, 7 rds of Blinking (per the spell, default CL 7, 1rd/level), 50% miss chance for opponents that blind-fighting doesn't help with, but you suffer a 20% miss chance. (over simplification of blink--it does alot more). 27k

The constant effect, tho smaller, seems much more useful--doesn't delay your attacks (or make them fail as your attack/spell lands in the ethereal plane) and you don't forget to use it in a critcal situation.

YMMV

I think the major cloak of displacement is grossly overpriced, particularly since it is never likely to be active when you really need it.

The ring of blinking is uncannily useful though - as well as the defensive benefits (and the sneak attack goodness that rogues get) it also allows you to walk through doors and walls of up to 5ft thick, and the 'miss chance' works against spells too (apart from abjuration and force effects, but how many of those are there)

I'm with Gortex, I like the minor cloak most. Pretty useful for fightertypes and wizards to get immunity against sneaks.
