It was a very quick downward spiral as my father-in-law passed away Friday afternoon. It was relatively peaceful and painless as those things go, since it was so quick.

Hitting the road Thursday morning to return home, after hearing many a good story about Grandma in her better days. Probably will be able to really get back to posting Sat/Sun.

Lucas has a great smile at an age where is seems most smiles for the camera get "fakey". The pose with the hands in the pockets is so natural, yet very "adult". You must stand that way and he copies you.

So I mentioned the pictures to my wife and she said: "Oh, Joe just started sticking his hands in his pockets to be 'just like daddy'. I had to tell him he shouldn't keep his hands in his pockets while he walks down the stairs."
