Codex Arcanis revised?

Just wondering if someone from Paradigm would mind posting a summary of the essential differences between the current Codex Arcanis and the revised hardcover, coming out. . . October, was it?

I'm contemplating picking up a copy, is why I'm asking. However, I've read that there are some editing issues with the current version - true? If so, is that going to be as much of a problem? It's only a minor (potential) niggle, but it's the kind of thing that can really irritate me sometimes, so I thought I'd better ask before just buying the book.

That concern aside though, the setting sounds excellent, and worth looking into. My curiosity is well and truly gotten.

The Codex Arcanis Hardcover is a 256 page title. There is a timeline of recent events that brings the history up to the current date. The rules are the revised version, the art is nicer than the original book, and it is re-edited. The only known editing issue is that the val bloodline powers are an edition behind the 3rd printing of the Player's Guide to Arcanis. If one was getting the PGtA softcover (the only one available AFAIK) then this is a non-issue.

If you happen to own: the original Codex, the Player's Guide to Arcanis, Magic of Arcanis, Legacy of Damnation, and Ssethregore, then this new Codex Arcanis only brings the new art, layout, and timeline to the table.

I don't currently own any Arcanis books, actually. So, no problem there.

Thanks for the quick reply, by the way.

And luckily, I won't be running 3e again for a while yet, so the release date for the hardcover sounds about right.

I know I've asked this before, but for the life of me I can't remember what was said. Will the Codex Arcanis come to pdf? I've love everything about Arcanis, and the Codex will go nicely to complete my pdf Arcanis collection.

Yes, about a month after the hardbound hits US shelves.
