Are there any plans to enable collaborative or other abilities here to make this type of collaborative creation more easy in the future?

You'd have to ask the developers of Xenforo! I'm not planning on hacking this software to the extent we did with vBulletin, because it stops us upgrading as new software versions are released. Then we end up stuck with clunky decade-old versions of software again.
