Combat Computer

Yet, for some reason, combat in some RPGs is not complicated. What kind of paradox is this?
I've probably played less than a dozen RPGs, but everyone had a complicated combat system (complicated compared to checkers) -- multiple die rolls, charts and/or mathmatics.

What game has a simple combat system -- is it simple because it is just step up and hit?

Just off the top of my head.
 

I've played MSH (FASERIP), extensively. In fact, I pulled out the old game system a couple months ago thinking I'd run a campaign for my group. It is *not* a simple combat system, at all. Not at all. I don't know the others you listed, but seeing MSH in the list makes me doubt the simplicity of the others.

I remember this system fondly -- I have four boxed sets (but can't find the Advanced Player's Book, snurglefurger!) -- but I cannot for the life of me remember the combat rules at all. Which I guess means they're simple, since I have GURPS, Hero, SAS d20, and d20 fantasy at least partially committed to memory.
