Hi all,
Just curious - is there any feat, class or other ability that allows someone to have the same creature as both their Familiar and Animal Companion?
Can anyone see any potential drawbacks for this? Obviously to qualify as a familiar, the creature would have to be relatively small, so no bears etc. Badger, Eagle, Hawk, Owl and Snake would seem to be the obvious choices.
Also, I'm not sure of the Hit Dice - a familiar gains 1/2 of it's master's hit points, while an animal companion gains bonus hit dice as it's master gains in level. What would be the best way to mesh these two abilities? Perhaps if it gains HD as normal, but has a minimum HP equal to 1/2 it's master's HP.
Thinking along the lines of a Druid/Sroceror/Mystic Theurge(?).
Thanks - T
