Quick question about the level 3 spell Cupid arrow

As part of the action used to cast this spell, make a ranged weapon attack against a target within range of the weapon you are wielding. If you hit, the target takes no damage, is instead healed for an amount of hit points equal to the weapon’s normal damage + 1d8, and must make a Charisma saving throw against your spell save DC. A creature that fails its save is charmed by you for one minute. A creature that succeeds on its save is still healed, but is not charmed.

The spell ends if you or your companions do anything harmful towards the target. The target knows it was charmed by you when the spell ends.
If the target is already friendly toward you, it is not charmed and instead gains an expertise die on its next saving throw or ability check.

My party and I had a couple discussion about this topic. How would the spell react using the following abilities
  • Trained accuracy: Would the target be healed by the extra 'damage' from trained accuracy?
  • Trick arrow (Explosive arrow, flamming arrow): Would the extra damage from the arrow apply healing?
  • Weapon’s normal damage: Would mean that a bow +2 would heal for 2 more, or does it heal only from the weapon damage excluding any bonuses from dexterity and/or magical enhancement
  • And just for fun, what about sneak attack?

Thoughts?

I think the only one that would apply is the bonus damage from the +2 enchantment. since all other bonuses come from the wielder. This will rule out even the dex bonus.

I don't think that extra damage from Trained accuracy would count as "the weapon's normal damage".
If if would include bonus damage (like sneak attack or special arrows) the phrase would probably have been something like "instead of taking damage the target is healed by the same amount +1d8"

A magical bonus from a +2 weapon probably would be counted as "the weapon's normal damage"

BTW: "Spells from the Forgotten Vault" was not the original source of the spell, they just compiled spell lists from various sources.
The original source was "Arcane Sniper" which has been compiled with some others into the "Multiclasser's Manual Vol. 1"
