Combining SRD's

One thing I have noticed, is the steady "arms-race" of BAB VS AC...

Most of the time, the only way a high level charcter can miss anything, is if they roll a one, and low level characters might as well be standing there with a bullseye on them, tied up, to a chair, covered in glue...

So, after working with Modern d20 the past few months, I finally realized what I was seeing...

Defense and Reputation Bonus...

Why not?

It wasn't hard, making the adjustments for our "fun" campaign, not our playtesting campaign...

Putting defense bonuses in make sense, and make things funner. Remember good ol' Conan the Barbarian? I don't think he could have pronounced Plate Mail, much less ever wore any.

Reputation bonuses? Why not?

So we added them, and we'll see this weekend how it works.

Bummer they didn't add it to 3.5....

Dunno, but since magic armor costs about half as much as magic weaponry, it seems to work out. I've never really had a problem with BAB vs. AC, but maybe that's just because I play with a group of mild powergamers that consider an AC under 20 to be a sin.

Though reputation bonuses do sound tasty.
