I guess that depends on what you definition is of a one-shot. Back in the 70's and early 80's both companies ran issues in some of their various anthology titles. For example, Marvel Superheroes was primarily a reprint title but they ran something new as their first story - Captain Marvel and Guardians of the Galaxy both began in that title, and I recall they also did one with the original Black Knight. DC had a "New Talent Showcase" book that featured not only new writers and artists but often-times new heroes, and they also had a "Dial-H for Hero" title that featured new characters.TheLe said:Can someone name "One Shot" comic books that have come out in the past from Marvel and DC? For the life of me, I cannot think of any.
Not true, in Amalgam's second year they had second issues of both JLX and Spiderboy.Relique du Madde said:Anything Marvel and DC produced under the Amalgam brand.

So you are including out of continuity stories about standard characters? Graphic novels like God Loves Man Kills might be good then....TheLe said:Can't believe I forgot about that one. Yes, this is the kind of info I am looking for. Any others?
