Comicbook-based Movies Thread: List for 2005!

The thing that really scares me about Watchmen is that the have said they changed the ending. That blurb they have is just a genreal thing that could go 100 different ways. But if they changed the ending..........

Is the movie based on the trade-paper back of the same name?

I loved the ending of the Watchmen, if we're talking about the same thing.

I wouldn't be surprised that there was a Green Hornet comic book at some
time, but it wasn't originally, so it doesn't really count. It's definately comic
book inspired, though.

Nitpicky, yeah I know. :p

I watched the Green Hornet tv show when it was on -- it was so-so

I really liked the old radio serial, though, and some of the pulps; there is hope in the notion, at least ;)

Oh. My. Friggin'. God.

Sin City ? Frank Miller himself will turn Sin City into a movie ?

This I've GOT to see. What a masterpiece.

Worth dying for,[BLAM]
worth killing for,
[BLAM]
worth going to hell for,[BLAM]
amen.

I just can't beleive it.

Yeah, I can't wait for Sin City!

And it's got some great actors in it: Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, Benicio De Toro, Michael Clarke Duncan, Carla Gugino, Clive Owen, Mickey Rourke, Bruce Willis, and Elijah Wood.

Who's gonna play Marv ? Bruce Willis ? (checking) nope, Mickey Rourke. Well, maybe it'll work.

Bruce Willis: Not big enough, but definitely the right "look".

Sin City is something like the Punisher meets Silence of the Lambs. I wonder what the MPAA rating will be on that one. They better not lower the bar to 13, or they'll destroy the spirit of the whole thing.

And Jaime King as Goldie and her twin sister ? Jessica Alba would have been better.

And little Frodo as Kevin... oh is he in for a surprise. Kevin is like Hannibal, but with fighting skills. Yup, they picked the right actor for Kevin. Angel face/ insane maniac.

My two cents on Elektra: Jennifer is totally wrong for the role. I feel it has been demonstrated in DD. There are much better girls out there that fit the role, like say...

... Monica Bellucci. 'nuff said.
