That's a good idea. Any ideas on how to integrate this sort of cosmological factor into a game that doesn't already have it?

Honestly, as a hardcore DM, I agree (hence the Twin Crowns world having 5, only 5, no matter what), but my players, who have gone this far, would think I've becoming unreasonably harsh.

At 18th level, 2-3 resurrections isn't that many, though... it's par for the course. One failed save means death, and you fail 5% of all saves no matter what. With an 18th level cleric in the party, there's really no way to stop it without an artificial layer of DM intervention.
