I've stopped taking contributions and when the book is finished it will not be free.
So the practical implications are for those who didn't contribute, its just another book.
For those who did, they're getting everything they were initially promised: the ability to shape the setting/rules, a free copy of the book, a private group to discuss the game and see early drafts (they've already seen the world map for example, and we're hashing out races and monsters will work now).
So for the vast majority of the gaming public, Fantasci will be just another book now, released by a different company, for a different system.
Other than that, nothing has changed!
