A bill was passed earlier this year in NY state which: Question: How do we want the legality of weaponry to be in the year 2030? Admittedly, this bill confuses me, but in general terms it would mean that small personal firearms and hunting arms are legal to own. Businesses however tend to be classed as private property and have the right to refuse entry or enforce a dress code. Unless you manage to give one of my staff a personal grudge against you ( ) I don't care whether they're legal or not just don't wave 'em about or I'll take 'em off you. :P The night club is just a night club and wouldn't worry about gang warfare etc very much because we have means to deal with extreme troublemakers while waiting for the proper authorities. Metal detectors aren't likely to work in a society where personal modification, implants etc have become a lil more commonplace (No total cyborg gangs yet please people) if still ridiculously expensive and weaponry can probably be made using alloys that don't set your basic detector off. Security is tighter out the back however as there is a government agency upstairs (WIZO) and staff may scan the room generally every now and then to pick out any lead casing that may be hiding something more dangerous than a personal firearm. - Pounamu
