Comments on Noonan's thoughts on Monsters

With prepared adventures, I'm good; 90% of the time I have the monster already typed up on a 3x5 card and I just pull out the card and use it. Otherwise, I make a card before the game starts and from then on I have it.

As an aside, why doesn't WoTC sell these?

Beats me. It's a great idea. The easiest combats I've ever run involved me using index cards with the monster stats printed right on them, because I use the same cards for dealing with initiative order. I've already got the stack of cards in my hands, so when it's Monster A's turn to go, his stats are right there, convenient as hell.

...Hmm, it looks like someone already beat WotC to it. Good on them. Although I'd rather be able to just buy them pre-printed on cardstock, rather than having to print them myself...
