You took 'em off us 15 months ago, and we just won 'em back.

We got a beating, that's true. We're missing two key players in Vaughan and Simon Jones, we have a wicket-keeper/ batsman who can't bat and Freddie Flintoff just back after ankle trouble.

I'd like to think playing Monty Panesaar in the first two games might have made a difference, but it would just have delayed the Inevitable.

But hey - at least we gave you a game! Other tours, England have folded at the first sight of an Aussie bowler!

Panesar could have won England the Adelaide test, IMO. He's a bowler who constantly seems to give the impression that he's about to do something really special, much in the same way Warne does.

On the Flintoff issue, I really think Captaincy needs to be passed to someone else. I'm not convinced that his field placings & decision making have been up to scratch.

I know that the English team are still "playing for pride" (Freddie's words), but I think this is a very good time to experiment with team roles & combinations for the English.

In the words of Darryl Kerrigan:

"Suffer in your jocks!" :p :D

Don't worry. We'll let you have them back in another 30 or so years. Until then you can look at the trophy whenever you want, especially as you still won't let us actually look after it when we win it. :( ;)

There is usually a small amount of pain involved in me congratulating Australia at winning anything, but I think my time in the UK has softened m y Trans-Tasman rivalry mode.

Well done Aussies. The so called “Dad’s army” as they were calling them over here showed that experience, class and talent show through everytime.

The England team were good, but the sad fact is that the Aussies ARE the top team in the Cricket World and have been for a good 10 years. If you’re going to beat them you need to bring you’re a game with you’re A-team (I piddy tha’ fool).

Sadly England didn’t bring either (due to poor decisions, lack of preparation, injuries and also a young team).

Better luck next time England. :)

Yeah right! :p
