Commitment

I've recently came across a picture of the following tattoo:

This is the emblem of the Order of Hermes, the defining symbol of the Ars Magica game, that a devout fan of the game permanently etched on himself. That's commitment.

The Ars Magica fan community is a small one. ENWorld is large. I've been wondering if there are people out here with similarly extreme tales and acts up their sleeve... do share....

Ha ha. They had to shave his leg. :)

I have a symbol on my own leg that shows my commitment... it's a maple leaf, and it's awesome.

I have two friends that got the "Honor" and "Wendigo" symbols from Werewolf: the Apocalypse tattoed on their legs. One just mutters something about it meaning "honor" when asked by mundanes. The other one has to come up with some cover story or explain that he has a symbol for a tribe of Native american werewolves named after an embodiment of Cannibalism.

Not game specific per se, but game related I guess.... I have a tattoo on my left shoulder of an inverted Mt Dew 20 oz bottle, hooked into an IV line that runs down my forearm toward my wrist, curves back up to the inside of my elbow. Complete with IV needle inserted, medical tape, etc. All full color, not just black ink.

Cool! Got a photo?

My avatar was actually a tattoo design I came up with based on El Sol de Jayuya and some "tribal" sun patterns. I spent a lot of time on it because if I were getting a tattoo, I wanted it to be unique and significant. After I showed the idea to my uncle, he got the tattoo before me. Then my cousin got it, too. Now I have little desire to get it for myself. It took me so long to come up with the concept, and I even had a friend who was a graphic designer create the illustration ready for inking. *sigh*

I'll figure something out eventually.

Cool. I have got a friend with the Glyph from freak legion cover. I'll check about getting a photo.
