Community Wealth Question

Guess I should have posted this here instead of the General Forum...

According to the DMG (pg 137), a community's ready cash amount is calculated by taking 1/2 GP limit and multplying this by 1/10 of the community's population. This is the amount of liquid cash on hand and the amount of resources available at any one time.

My question then, is this: how often is this amount replenished or renewed?

I would go with something like 5%/week for outlying areas up to 25%/week or so for major trading hubs.

Isn't it higher for magic items? I think somewhere in the 3.0 DMG a metropolis got magic items of up to 50,000 gp being easy to find, smaller for smaller communities.
