(Comp.Arc.) Where are the familiars?!

Why did the new product provide barely a single reference (a feat) to a mage's best buddy?

Is there a critter companion text being planned? Something maybe that addresses familiars, mounts, animal companions and the like?

Well, there was a whole pile of familiar stuff in CW. Perhaps they felt that was enough? Or maybe they just ran out of ideas?

At least I've seen they revised/reprinted spells from T&B which help the familiar stay alive ;)

There was a whole Mongoose book about familiars, but I never saw it at the FLGS, I wonder if anyone knows about it?

Familiars

First of all "Quintessential Sorcerer" has a very good familiar section...really good book...And after that..."Path of Magic" which if i recall right has the best section of familiars i've ever seen...It's All about creating what you want as a familiar, not what you have...beyond that has a LOT of familiars..."Relics and Rituals (1 or 2-don't remember)" has some spells for familiars....
BUT after all there is the ALL-MIGHTY-CLASSIC PSEUDODRAGON ...

Path of Magic? I remember there was a nifty Familiar section in Spells & Spellcraft, but I don't remember it being in Path of Magic...

Yes, yes, yes -- a lot of nifty second- and third-party products. Goody.

But I was asking about WotC stuff.

Maybe it'll be in the Web Enhancement.
