Compendium New Look

I don't think feats are losing their tier requirements retroactively. Rather, starting with Essentials new feats are not going to have tier requirements.

Well, anything that appears in HotFL or HotFK and had a tier prerequisite in an earlier source is going to lose it. But they're probably going to just leave tier requirements alone for feats that don't get updated.

Obviously it's there, but when I put in Thri-Kreen in the search field and use the drop-down to select races, I get nothing. Tried it in both Firefox and IE.

How did you get to it? Just kinda curious if I did something wrong, or if the program might have a bug.
I searched for just "kreen" ;). I suspect that the hyphen might be the issue.

I remember a series of about four annoyed messages I sent to customer service about a year ago, complaining when they broke the compendium in opera. I haven't tried to use it with opera since. I'm really happy it works in it again.

Sadly it (the Android Opera) works just barely, since most of the time the left side is cut of and you have to guess which one to click. But it's still much better than before, where you couldn't use it at all!

By the way the Red-Box got ignored, none of it's (updated) Monsters are in the Compendium and there are some Wizard Powers, like the one that transform an enemy into a toad, are not included.

I liked the effort in the previous version to look like something other than a database form, but it was slow and clunky at the same time. This version is fast, workable, and a functional improvement, but doesn't look half as nice. On balance I'll enjoy using this version more I think.

Hmm, I remember that problem from a different xml-based program. Probably the same issue.

I wonder if it's treating it like a boolean and saying ok search for thri (minus) kreen, and then obviously finding nothing that meets those requirements.

You can search for thri & kreen and it pulls up all the thri-kreen stuff as well. Same with thri kreen (space with no hyphen.)

Works great in IE9.

I really like the trajectory of DDI right now. Just wish it could be faster, but I know how hard software rollouts are… slower is unfortunately better most times : (
