Compendiums (Compendia?) - would you buy them?

Feats - In a heartbeat!

Magic Items - Yes

Mundane Equipment/Armor/Weapons - Probably

Races - Maybe

Prestige Classes in the New Format - Definitely not

At this point, Feat Compendium would be a great idea.

A Class Compendium containing all of the baseclasses + prestige classes would also be cool.

Though, I suspect if we see these at all, it'll be at the very end of 3.5's lifespan.

I think spell compendium was a great idea. Other than that a Magic Item compendium might be cool but I wouldnt spend my money on feat or PrC compendia.

I think a feat compedium would be both handy and sell well - everyone needs feats for their characters, and there's probably about 20 books now with various feats in them.

Magic items might be nice, as well, but I think it's a little easier to design up a new magic item for a game than it is to come up with an interesting but balanced feat. The first can be a unique item if it turns out to be a little unbalanced cost-wise either way. But a feat that bob takes that's too good might get picked up by everyone in the party over time.

I would not buy a class compendium that simply repriints the classes as I dislike the vast majority of new base classes that WOTC has released in their supplements. However, if they threw in some new classes and several UA style class variants for each class I might reconsider.

Race compendium- nope
Feat Compendium- probably
Magic items- yes
Mundane Items- maybe

The class compendium, probably not - I find it helpful to be able to completely separate the alt base classes by subject, though some of the divisions I find a little wonky (I'd swap Hexblade and Warmage, for instance).

Item compendium, not so much; the DMG already drowns me in Magic Items. OTOH, I can understand the utility.

A feat compendium most definitely. And since it was lost in the crash, I'll repeat what I'd consider ideal:
  • A list of the feats up FRONT. Not in back, as in the spell compendium.
  • Separation of the feats into separate chapters by type; including a chapter dedicated to Fighter Bonus (i.e. Combat) feats, which should really be a separate feat type anyway.
  • A complete updating of the Epic Feats to 3.0 (and a indication of which ones have been made non-epic)
  • An in-line listing of the source of each feat.
  • A source-to-feat index (not just a listing of sources, but actual source-feat-pg # info).
  • Inclusion of all the monster feats as well.

Another compendium that'd be really nice is an official template compilation.

Item compenium would really be better as a revised Arms & Equipment (which I'm not opposed to), and maybe with some optional expanded Masterwork rules (like GR's Black Company's).

Races - I'm not really interested in these at all; besides they've already got the Races Of splats.

The problem with these is that they're only as up-to-date as the last supplement. As soon as a new spell shows up in the next splatbook / world book / errata / whatever, your Spell Compendium is no longer the one-stop source for spells, for instance.

That's when Spell Compendium II comes out. ;)

I know other non-WotC companies have produced similar things but how would people react to updated/corrected versions of what's already been produced but in one place?
I think I'd only be interested in a magic item compendium (with a good ToC/index and GP listings).

Everything else I'm not interested in, as I've got already very good organization at home.

Actually it will be an easy indicator for when 4th edition will come out.
Oh we have a spell compendium... welp no new products for spells will be coming out before the next edition. :)
