Except that the subject "can hear as normal." So it doesn't silence all sounds. The prohibition against speech appears to apply to creatures within the 5' radius but not to the subject of the spell. If the subject can hear himself, then he can still use verbal components of spells.

Maybe it's like a 5' radius silence bubble that excludes the spell recipient from it's effect?

I don't known this obvioustly very not clear...

I think the silence apply only to all the caster could make and not the environment. This prevent the ennemy to listen to the mage noise.

Anyway they say as crystal clear that you can't speak, so obviously you can't use verbal component according to me.

So, you guys made me so curious about this that I went downstairs to get my books (my own PC will be in the workshop till tuesday the way it looks, and I have to use this one).

So, first things first:
We're talking about a glamer here.

A glamer spell changes a subject’s sensory qualities, making it look, feel, taste, smell, or sound like something else, or even seem to disappear.

Since the spell prevents speech, I think it was a mistake and they meant verbal components, since somatic doesn't make any sense. But take this and still spell, and you're a force to be reckoned with.
