Complete Arcane

It sad that what we want occasionally can't be made because it just won't be profitable. :(

That's probably one reason why I'm so happy when products are made that I want. :)

Cheers!

OK. Fine.

  1. A Sourcebook on Combat & War for all classes
  2. A Sourcebook on Divine Magic for all classes
  3. A Sourcebook on Arcane Magic for all classes
  4. A Sourcebook on Subtlety & Social Niceties for all classes
  5. A Sourcebook on Outdoorsmanship & Nature Magic for all classes

A couple of points:

* There are quite a few nature-based spells and feats in Complete Divine. In that manner, it covers the ground covered by Masters of the Wild
* Barbarian combat abilities were enhanced in Complete Warrior, likewise Ranger combat abilities.
* The rest of the Wilderness material will be covered in the Environs series, of which Frostburn is the first.

I think that makes it highly unlikely there's be a single "Sourcebook of Outdoormanship & Nature Magic for all classes"; instead some material will be in the regular Hero books, and the rest will be in the Environ series.

Cheers!

I actually cannot know that (well now I can :)).

The more important part of my post was the first sentence, tho.
I think they base the books on the iconic four character party.

Druid spellcasting will definitely be covered in complete divine.
And yeah, the environmental books are a good point as well, Merric.

There's nothing that quite has the snap of Complete Warrior, Complete Arcane or Complete Divine, is there?

Cheers!
I think The Complete Covert will probably be the title of the fourth and last book in the series.

Regarding any worries it will have little to do with bards, I think they'll find better coverage throughout the four books than they did in Song & Silence anyway.

As has been said the Complete books are more overall concept books rather than books covering specific classes, and with the four books they should cover the classic roles of combat, magic (both arcane and divine), and covert activities. Therefore leaving the environmental series of books to cover all things outdoors and wilderness.

Oops - I just realised I forgot about the Race books as well! They may also have some of the prestige classes and feats...

WotC are putting out a lot of books - I'm quite looking forward to them, actually. :)

Cheers!

I like that!

I agree - the Warchanter in CW was a great prestige class! :)

Cheers!

The downside is that stuff won't be in one place; the Bard player will have to own or access all 4(?) books. Makes it less likely for a player to buy, I suppose.

I think a lot of the Druid and Ranger PrC's will get shafted. Since a few of them were left out of the Complete Warrior and Complete Divine. I guess they're going to be in the woodlands environmental book which will come out when???
