Complete Denizens of Avadnu Coming Soon (Cover Updated!)

Jeff -

You've probably thought of this already, but just be careful about using monsters developed for a 4E product in a 3E compilation. Under the OGL (Section 2, I believe), you may not be able to use content from an OGL source in a non-OGL product.

IANAL, so I may have no idea what I'm talking about, but check into it if you haven't already.

Not sure what you are referring to... Wizards hasn't finalized the GSL at all. I received an email from them that says their legal team had to go back to the drawing board with the GSL and not to expect anything for another week. Unless I missed some official communication, there is nothing concrete at this point. It's all just rumors and hearsay.

If you're republishing only your own stuff, restatting it into 4e, I'm not sure why it would be a problem. If all the stats are for 4e, you'd be deriving from 4e rules, and you own all rights to the descriptive content - you don't need a license to use stuff you own.

Now, if you're using someone else's OGL content, you may not be able to release it under the GSL. This does open up a can of worms for companies that want to re-release their stuff for 4e, but their old stuff used other people's OGL content.

IANAL either.

Yes, that would be the problem. Many D20 OGL books has content from other publishers. If you can't guarantee its yours, that's theoretically a problem.

Just got a new version of the cover which should be done this weekend.
